CNN Sections

Ideations, 2013

CNN Politics has been able to combine it's newsgathering, coverage, TV assets, and digital resources into a coherent and compelling product—one that has its own voice, style, and community. This ideation project explored new ways to help other sub-sections (e.g. Entertainment, Travel, Sports) stand out more in the same way.

I experimented with sub-section branding (colors and iconography that promoted individuality) and also imagery/word phrases that explored voice and tone. Quick sketches and visual comps were created to show what each section might look like on their website.
